Raids are the highest-DNA mode in Anime Galaxies (25-40 per clear) and the only place Sukuna drops. They are also the run type most players fail the first time, because the boss does something that punishes the standard “stack three carries” answer.
The Sukuna raid
What it is
A team raid against a Sukuna boss encounter. Clearing it puts Sukuna in the reward pool. The October 25 patch also fixed placement in one previously blocked area of raids, so older “where can I place” advice is stale.
The problem: the boss heals
The raid boss regenerates health, which means burst damage that stops between cooldowns loses ground. Community reporting puts its health around the eight million mark and is explicit that bleed is the answer — damage-over-time keeps ticking while your carries are on cooldown.
Which units counter it
Ichigo
The cleanest fix. Community reports are consistent that Ichigo’s bleed applies from full HP, which almost no other unit’s does — so the regeneration never gets a window to undo your damage.
Sukuna (if you own him)
His bleed applies above 50% enemy HP, which covers the early part of the fight. Below 50% he switches to bonus damage rather than bleed, so he is a strong second source, not a replacement for Ichigo.
Muzan
Bleed/DoT based, and the natural third piece of a Demon Slayer core with Tengen.
Roger as the support slot
Shield bypass and the flat team damage aura matter less in raids than in story, but the stun does buy time during the regeneration windows.
A workable raid team
The frame
One bleed source (Ichigo), one hybrid for air coverage in case adds fly, one farm unit, one control, one burst carry. Do not run three carries: two of them will be on cooldown during exactly the window the boss heals.
Upgrade order inside the run
Farm first, then the bleed unit, then the carry. The bleed source pays off earlier than the carry because the boss’s health pool is so large.
Rewards and repetition
DNA per clear
25-40 DNA, the best rate in the game. A single raid clear is worth two or three challenge wins.
Sukuna himself
The unit drop is why most players run it. He is a wave-clearing Secret with kill-driven follow-ups — excellent in story and challenges, less so against a single boss, which is exactly why the raid wants bleed instead of him.
What else raids drop
Raid clears feed the normal reward pool (gems, coins, materials). Treat them as your main material farm once you can clear consistently.
Common failure modes
No bleed source
The single most common reason a raid times out. Check your roster for any DoT unit before you queue.
Air-blind team
If adds fly and your team is ground-only, you lose the run to trash, not to the boss. Bring one unit that hits air from placement (Jiren, Kizaru, Fujitora, Goku) rather than relying on upgrade 8 unlocks.
Standing in the wrong place
The October 25 placement fix changed which areas accept towers. If your placement is rejected, that is the blocked zone, not a bug.
