Anime Galaxies tier list
Our read of the live meta two weeks after launch, built from official patch notes plus the recurring consensus in the game's own Discord — and explicitly not an official ranking.
The developer has never published a tier list — nobody's "official" ranking is official.
These tiers combine three things: what units actually do (verified from patch notes and in-game text), the answers experienced players give in the official Discord's questions channel, and how the roster behaves in Story Nightmare, Endless, Portals and Raids as of October 28, 2026. Balance patches move units, and two of the five Secrets were rebalanced inside 72 hours of launch. Treat this as a starting point, not scripture.

Why the top of the list looks like this
Three rules that explain every placement
- Acquisition beats rarity. Frieza is the best raw damage in the game and costs nothing but portal runs. Goku is stronger on paper but sits behind a 0.5% capsule roll with a limited window. A tier list that ignores how you get a unit is a tier list for whales.
- The farm unit is non-optional. Speedwagon is an Epic and still an S tier pick, because every run is won on upgrade timing. No Mythic replaces a farm slot.
- Air coverage is a team constraint, not a unit stat. Units that hit air from placement (Goku, Jiren, Fujitora, Kizaru) are worth more than a higher-damage unit that only unlocks air at upgrade 8 (Gojo, Cid).
The community's own Secret ranking
Straight from the questions channel
When players ask "who is the best Secret?" in the official Discord, the answer is remarkably consistent and is reproduced here as a community claim, not a developer statement:
Frieza > Goku / Roger > Muzan > Sukuna
Note what that ranking implies: the two best units in the game are the two you cannot buy with gems. Frieza is a portal grind and Goku is an event capsule roll.
What this list deliberately leaves out
Gaps we will not paper over
- Units with no documented kit — Nobara, Krillin, Future Trunks, Shinobu, Rock Lee and Joseph Joestar are confirmed to exist but have no published mechanics, so ranking them would be guesswork.
- Stark and Itachi — both are discussed by players and both are missing an official rarity, so they sit outside the ladder.
- PvP — the BETA PvP mode shipped October 24 with no published rules, so no unit can be honestly rated for it yet.
